Interstate Office Interiors was founded on January 01, 1997 by me, Virgil Kelpin, and my father in law Joe Gagie. Joe had been working in administration at Western Michigan University for 20 years and retired in December of 1996. So I rescued him from retirement in 1997. In 1997 I had been in the office furniture business for 17 years traveling the mid-west as a manufacturer’s representative .
Our mission and focus was to provide solutions to our customer’s office environment challenges with design and products that met two important criteria: solve work space makeovers with good design and quality products and always keep in mind the price tag as it corresponded to the client’s budget. Presenting a plan to our client that was out of their price range always seemed disrespectful to our clients vision and their pocket book.
Here we are 25 years later, Joe has retired for a second time, this time for good and the Interstate Office Interiors team continues to provide dynamic workspaces at competitive prices that focus on our clients vision.
